Malaysia Airlines has resumed its cargo handling partnership with Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a SATS company, at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to support the airline’s newly launched daily flights connecting Paris to Kuala Lumpur.
The two companies previously collaborated on cargo handling in Paris until Malaysia Airlines ceased operations on the route in January 2016. With the airline’s return this month, Malaysia Airlines is now operating daily Airbus A350-900 flights, both passenger and cargo, further expanding its global route network to 68 destinations. This expansion follows the addition of new wide-body aircraft to the airline’s fleet.
WFS’s latest contract with Malaysia Airlines not only covers cargo handling at Paris Charles de Gaulle, but also at several provincial airports across France, including Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, and Strasbourg.
Laurent Bernard, Managing Director of WFS France, expressed his enthusiasm about the renewed partnership: “It is very pleasing to see Malaysia Airlines’ aircraft back at Paris CDG, and we are delighted to resume our collaboration. We look forward to supporting the growth of its cargo business between France and Kuala Lumpur, as well as the onward connections Malaysia Airlines offers across Asia.”
In addition to its operations at Paris CDG, WFS handles Malaysia Airlines’ cargo at other locations, including Copenhagen, Bengaluru, and Bangkok.
The new contract strengthens WFS’s position as a leading cargo handling service provider at Paris Charles de Gaulle, where it supports over 150 customers across nine cargo terminals.
This partnership underscores the growing demand for air cargo services between Europe and Asia, particularly for sectors such as e-commerce logistics, international shipments, and air freight services.
