Cathay Pacific, one of the world’s leading airlines, is celebrating the launch of new flight routes connecting Hong Kong to key destinations worldwide. As the airline wraps up a strong first quarter, it is positioning itself for growth with strategic expansions heading into the summer peak season.
New Routes Starting April 2025
On April 24, Cathay Pacific launched its first direct non-stop flight to Dallas, marking the airline’s 15th new destination of 2025. This expansion underscores Cathay’s ambitions to broaden its global reach. Lavina Lau, Cathay’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, shared the airline’s plans for the year:
“The launch of direct flights between Hong Kong and Dallas demonstrates our commitment to offering customers easy access to exciting destinations worldwide from our Hong Kong hub. Our network will exceed 100 destinations in the first half of this year,” Lau said.
In addition to Dallas, Cathay Pacific is enhancing connectivity with mainland China, starting direct flights between Hong Kong and Urumqi on April 28, 2025.
