Norwegian Air Shuttle has announced a new route from Munich Airport, set to begin with the winter schedule. Starting October 26, 2025, the airline will offer two weekly flights to Tromsø, located nearly 350 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle in northern Norway.

Tromsø, known as a university city, attracts visitors with its Arctic beauty and offers attractions like the iconic Arctic Cathedral and several museums dedicated to nature, art, and history. The surrounding region also provides a range of Arctic adventures.

Jost Lammers, CEO of Munich Airport, expressed enthusiasm about the new connection: “We are very pleased about the new route to Tromsø. This will bring Bavaria and northern Norway closer together, offering passengers even more opportunities to explore northern Europe’s fascinating nature during the winter months.”

Magnus Thome Maursund, Chief Commercial Officer of Norwegian, added: “Tromsø has become a popular destination for winter tourism, especially for those wishing to experience the Northern Lights and the stunning natural beauty of the Arctic. We’re also excited to offer Norwegians a new direct route to vibrant Munich.”

The flights will operate on Thursdays and Sundays, using Boeing 737 aircraft, until March 2026.
