All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have announced plans to operate revenue-sharing flights between Singapore and Japan starting in September 2025. The new joint fare products for these flights will be available for purchase in May 2025, marking a significant expansion of their commercial partnership, which began with a joint venture agreement in January 2020.
Expanding Partnership and Enhancing Connectivity
This partnership will enhance existing codeshare arrangements, providing more fare options, improved flight schedule coordination, and seamless connectivity between the two Star Alliance carriers. Frequent flyer members of both airlines will benefit from enhanced reciprocal benefits, including earning miles on additional booking classes. Corporate programs will also be aligned to offer greater options for business travelers.
Since launching their joint venture in 2020, ANA and Singapore Airlines have significantly expanded their codeshare network. ANA customers now have access to 25 destinations across Singapore Airlines’ network, up from 12, while Singapore Airlines customers can connect to 34 destinations in ANA’s network, including 30 domestic locations within Japan.
Further Expansion Plans
Subject to regulatory approval, the airlines aim to extend their joint venture to other key markets, including Australia, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia, further strengthening their reach across Asia and beyond.
Shinichi Inoue, CEO of All Nippon Airways, described the partnership as a transformative opportunity. “This joint venture with Singapore Airlines is more than a strategic alliance; it embodies ANA’s vision to usher in a new era of customer experience that redefines expectations,” he said.
