Neo Space Group Wins New Airline Contracts and Partnership

by Grace

Neo Space Group (NSG), the leading commercial space services provider in Saudi Arabia, has announced new contracts for its in-flight connectivity (IFC) services and a key technology partnership. The developments signal a significant step forward in NSG’s growing presence in the global aerospace sector.

The company has secured an agreement to provide IFC services for Uzbekistan Airways’ upcoming fleet of Airbus A321neo aircraft. Leveraging NSG’s multi-orbit satellite coverage, the service will operate in collaboration with SES’s Open Orbits network. This partnership will ensure high-speed, low-latency connectivity using both Geostationary (GEO) and Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellites. The service implementation is set to begin in early 2026, with the first Airbus A321neo aircraft scheduled for delivery. Additional A321neos will follow as part of the fleet rollout.

In a further expansion of its operations, NSG has broadened its existing agreement with Thai Airways International. The new deal will see NSG extend its multi-orbit IFC services to 80 more Thai Airways aircraft, starting with the airline’s Boeing 777 fleet. The retrofitting process for the Boeing 777 will begin in the third quarter of 2025, while the airline’s Airbus A321neo fleet will be equipped with the Airbus HBCplus platform starting in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Additionally, Thai Airways’ Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet, currently in production, will be fitted with SPI’s Aeroconnect terminal. This milestone marks a key step in NSG and Thai Airways’ shared connectivity strategy. The first deliveries of the Dreamliners are expected in mid-2026.

NSG has also formed a strategic partnership with satellite solutions provider G&S SatCom. Together, they will launch G&S SatConnect, a Cloud-based, real-time monitoring platform. This innovative platform will allow NSG’s Network Operations Centre (NOC) to oversee the reliability and performance of its IFC services, enhancing the management of global airline customer connectivity.

These moves demonstrate NSG’s ongoing expansion and technological innovation in the in-flight connectivity sector, reinforcing its leadership role in the global commercial space industry.
