All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest 5-Star airline for 12 consecutive years, has launched cargo space booking through WiseTech Global’s CargoWise platform, starting April 11, 2025. This marks the first time a Japanese airline has integrated with CargoWise, expanding ANA’s global sales reach and enhancing digital booking capabilities.
Freight forwarders can now search, compare fares, and book ANA flights online 24/7, streamlining the booking process. Initially available to DHL Global Forwarding, the service is expected to expand to additional forwarders in the future. This integration is expected to improve both customer convenience and operational efficiency, meeting the growing demand for digital booking solutions.
Strengthening Sales Channels and Efficiency
Kenichi Wakiya, Executive Vice President of ANA Cargo, highlighted the airline’s focus on providing an efficient cargo system for forwarders. “Our integration with CargoWise enables seamless data transmission, creating a simplified booking experience for our major customers,” said Wakiya.
Digital Transformation in the Air Cargo Industry
Scott McCorquodale, Head of Airline Connectivity at WiseTech Global, emphasized Japan’s vital role in global trade. “Japan is one of the world’s largest producers of high-tech goods, creating strong demand for air cargo. Our partnership with ANA Cargo will allow freight forwarders to access real-time availability and pricing, driving greater efficiency and accuracy across the supply chain,” McCorquodale explained.
Improved Service for Customers
Max Sauberschwarz, Head of Global Air Freight at DHL Global Forwarding, noted the benefits of the new integration. “The direct data exchange allows us to plan, book, and manage shipments directly with ANA Cargo within CargoWise, improving convenience and efficiency for our customers,” he said.
ANA’s commitment to advancing the digitalization of its air cargo services aims to better serve its customers and meet the evolving needs of the industry.
