EasyJet is gearing up for its busiest Easter travel period to date, expecting up to 4.2 million passengers over the holiday. The airline has boosted its capacity by nearly 10,000 seats compared to last year, with the busiest travel day set for Good Friday, April 18, when over 262,000 travelers will take to the skies.
Popular destinations include Amsterdam, Tenerife, Dalaman, and Majorca, while new routes like Sal in Cape Verde and Tbilisi in Georgia expand EasyJet’s network. The airline is also offering great-value fares and additional services to meet the growing demand.
On April 18, EasyJet expects to operate more than 1,800 flights, with 145,000 passengers flying from 21 UK airports. The airline’s busiest routes will include sunspots like Dalaman and Majorca, as well as city break destinations such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Paris.
For those seeking guaranteed sunshine, destinations like Tunisia’s Enfidha, Morocco’s Marrakesh, and Tenerife are popular choices, with average April temperatures reaching 23°C.
Additionally, EasyJet recently launched its 10th UK base at London Southend, offering 122 weekly flights to destinations like Antalya, Pisa, Dalaman, and Tenerife. The airline has also introduced new routes, including its first service to Sal in Cape Verde from London Gatwick and a new connection to Tbilisi from London Luton.
This summer, EasyJet will operate 110 new routes, including 44 from the UK, and has added seven new Airbus A320 aircraft to its fleet.
